The head of the IMSS Health Promotion and Prevention Service for Workers, Jorge Alberto Cabrera Estrada, reported that in the care provided to the patient, they are taught how to identify pain triggers, such as cold, humidity, sedentary lifestyle or physical hyperactivity, stress and insomnia.

To prevent this disease, it is recommended from an early age to carry out moderate exercises two or three times a week and have a good diet, to prevent this disease.

Another factor that could trigger this disease is the stress of working hours. Low impact aerobic exercise lasting 20 to 30 minutes and avoiding exercises that increase pain, so the patient who is identified with the disease is referred to the Social Security Centers (CSS) so that they can “get rid of that tension. “

Cabrera Estrada commented that in Social Security, patients who are identified with fibromyalgia receive multidisciplinary care with internists, rheumatologists, psychiatrists, therapists and physical rehabilitators for full recovery.

The specialist finally indicated that, in the group of women, he is mostly susceptible to the disease, since it is easy for them to generate daily stress, due to their professional tasks or at home.
