La fibromyalgie et les explications que nous avons

La dure vérité à propos de la fibromyalgie est que nous ne savons même pas comment la définir. Bien sûr, c’est un syndrome, ce qui signifie que c’est une collection de symptômes, mais ils peuvent varier beaucoup et peuvent être si différents d’une personne à l’autre qu’il est vraiment impossible de savoir ce qu’est la fibromyalgie.

Le symptôme le plus commun et le plus poignant éprouvé par les personnes atteintes de fibromyalgie est la douleur généralisée. Au-delà de cela, il y a beaucoup de symptômes émergents, qui peuvent être interconnectés et parfois même considérés comme des causes et des facteurs de risque pour ce syndrome.

Quelles sont les causes de la fibromyalgie?

Il n’y a pas de réponse claire à cette question. En plus du fait que la fibromyalgie est assez difficile à diagnostiquer (comme cela sera expliqué plus loin), les causes de ce syndrome sont complètement inconnues.

Certains ont théorisé que la fibromyalgie est causée par le fait que les «capteurs» nerveux dans le cerveau et le système nerveux central sont trop sensibles à la douleur, ce qui provoque des douleurs chez les patients à des niveaux plus élevés que ce qui serait normal .

En outre, d’autres scientifiques croient que la fibromyalgie est causée principalement par des facteurs génétiques. Selon eux, il y a une très forte incidence de la fibromyalgie qui apparaît chez plusieurs membres de la famille.

Cette théorie adopte la croyance qu’il existe une forte connexion entre certains gènes polymorphes dans le corps humain et la raison pour laquelle la fibromyalgie se développe, mais ils admettent également que les mêmes gènes sont connectés à de nombreuses autres conditions liées à la fibromyalgie (par exemple , syndrome de fatigue chronique).

D’autres personnes croient que les facteurs psychologiques et la dépression sont essentiels pour découvrir pourquoi la fibromyalgie se développe. Selon eux, le taux élevé de comorbidité entre la fibromyalgie et la dépression n’est pas accidentel et ce dernier peut être la cause réelle qui conduit à la première.

Pourquoi les patients atteints de fibromyalgie éprouvent-ils des douleurs au cou?

La douleur est, comme mentionné, le symptôme le plus commun et le plus puissant éprouvé par les patients avec la fibromyalgie. Les médecins expliquent la douleur dans cette zone à la suite de «l’activation» d’un point sensible situé précisément dans le cou.

Il peut y avoir d’autres causes qui conduisent à la douleur au cou dans le cas de la fibromyalgie. Par exemple, dormir mal pourrait aussi signifier une position erronée qui peut faire que les muscles de votre cou deviennent tendus (et, par conséquent, aussi causer de la douleur).
