40 detaillierte Fibromyalgie-Patienten aus drei Ländern (USA, Deutschland und Frankreich) Interviews zeigen, dass Müdigkeit die zweite lästige Symptom nach Schmerzen.

Die Forschung wurde durch frühere Studien angeregt, die Kommentare der Patienten enthielten, dass Müdigkeit ein Symptom war, das in Behandlungsstudien bewertet werden sollte. Gegenwärtig hängt der Erfolg einer Therapie hauptsächlich davon ab, wie gut sie die Schmerzen bei Fibromyalgie lindert, wobei die Ermüdung kaum oder gar nicht berücksichtigt wird. Darüber hinaus gibt es kein klares Verständnis für die Schlüsselmerkmale der Ermüdung, die gemessen werden müssen.

Während der Interviews wurden den Patienten offene Fragen gestellt, wie zum Beispiel: “Erzählen Sie mir von Ihren Erfahrungen mit Fibromyalgie.” Ziel der Interviews war es daher nicht, gezielt nach Müdigkeit zu fragen, denn die Forscher wollten hören, was die Patienten hatten. Sprechen Sie spontan über Ihre Symptome.

Die durchschnittliche Dauer der Symptome einer Fibromyalgie betrug bei den 40 Teilnehmern 6,6 Jahre, ihr Durchschnittsalter betrug 49 Jahre, und 70% von ihnen waren Frauen. Bei der Frage nach ihren Erfahrungen mit Fibromyalgie berichteten sie über die folgenden Symptome ohne Anzeichen:

  • Schmerzen (78%)
  • Müdigkeit (43%)
  • Schlafstörungen (18%)
  • Mobilitätsprobleme (10%)

Denken Sie daran, dass dies auf Ihren unerwünschten Kommentaren zu Fibromyalgie beruhte. Bei der Bewertung der drei Hauptsymptome war die Reihenfolge im Wesentlichen dieselbe, die Prozentsätze waren jedoch viel höher.

In den folgenden acht Kategorien, auf die sich viele von Ihnen möglicherweise beziehen können, haben die Teilnehmer ihre Müdigkeit ausführlicher beschrieben:

“Männer und Frauen haben die Erfahrung von Müdigkeit und ihre Auswirkungen auf sehr ähnliche Weise beschrieben”, schreiben die Autoren. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass bei Fibromyalgie “Müdigkeit das zweitwichtigste Symptom ist, das erhebliche Auswirkungen auf das Leben der Patienten hat”. Da es so viele Ermüdungssymptome im Zusammenhang mit Fibromyalgie gibt, wird dies eine Herausforderung sein. Bewerten Sie die Auswirkungen dieses Symptoms in Behandlungsversuchen. Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie könnten jedoch zu besseren Instrumenten führen, um die “Müdigkeit” bei Patienten mit Fibromyalgie genau zu messen.
