Fibromyalgie: omgaan met sensorische overbelasting

  • Chronische pijn en tederheid
  • Verhoogde gevoeligheid voor aanraking of druk

  • Verhoogde gevoeligheid voor temperatuurveranderingen
  • Verhoogde gevoeligheid voor bepaalde smaken

What’s Going On Inside Your Head

Een andere studie, gepubliceerd in het tijdschrift  Pain Research and Treatment, suggereert dat veranderingen in de chemie van de hersenen bij mensen met fibromyalgie kan worden gekoppeld aan gevoeligheid voor stimuli zoals geluid en geur. Imaging studies hebben visuele afbeeldingen van deze veranderde respons op sensaties verstrekt. In sommige opzichten, kunnen de hersenen van mensen met fibromyalgie hyper-responsieve om de mogelijkheid van pijn of ongemak zelfs, zegt Dr Natelson.

Onderzoekers hebben ook getest weefselmonsters en vonden verhoogde niveaus van inflammatoire markers in de huid van mensen met fibromyalgie – die kan worden gekoppeld aan overgevoeligheid voor aanraking. Touch gevoeligheid is echt voor mensen zoals Pringle, die zegt dat er momenten zijn waarop zelfs hand in hand met haar partner is te pijnlijk om te dragen. Kleding die te strak zijn, massages, en zelfs lichte aanrakingen alle tekortkomingen in haar pijn en stress. Om de zaken nog erger te maken, Pringle zegt ze soms zelfs flinches onwillekeurig bij aanraking door anderen, die kwetsend kunnen zijn voor mensen om haar heen.

Wat te doen Over Fibromyalgie Symptomen

Hoe kun je een probleem die kunnen voortvloeien uit de bedrading in je hersenen aan te pakken? Hier zijn een aantal praktische stappen die u kunt nemen om deze zintuiglijke symptomen te beheren:

  • Wees actief.  Een overzicht van de oefening als onderdeel van fibromyalgie behandeling, gepubliceerd in het tijdschrift  Rheumatology International,  toonde aan dat aërobe oefening kan compenseren pijn en minimaliseren tender point gevoeligheid. Natelson adviseert zachte fysieke conditie. Zijn recept: “Loop gedurende 30 minuten om de andere dag op ongeveer 1,5 tot 2 mijl per uur” Dit verhoogt de bloedtoevoer naar de spieren en weefsels. Heel geleidelijk verhogen van uw tempo tot ongeveer 3,6 mph. Dit niveau van de activiteit “lijkt pijnperceptie downregulate,” Natelson uit. Wandelen buiten is ideaal, maar als u gevoelig voor veranderingen in temperatuur, licht bent, geuren en andere sensaties, start een wandel-programma in uw huis of in de sportschool.

    • Draag loszittende kleding en kleden zich in het licht lagen die u kunt verwijderen als het gewicht van uw kleren begint om uw huid irriteren.
    • Stel grenzen. Toen haar gevoeligheid voor licht is bijzonder intens, Pringle legt gewoon aan familieleden dat ze geen tv kunnen kijken met hen recht op dat moment.
    • Maak een retraite. Op bijzonder moeilijke dagen, misschien een comfortabele, koele, donkere kamer een rustgevende plek om te ontspannen en op te laden zijn.
    • Draag een zonnebril. Binnen of buiten, als u gevoelig voor licht of bepaalde patronen te voelen, zet op sommige tinten en geef uw ogen een pauze.

Fibromyalgie symptomen die al uw zintuigen van invloed kan elke dag een strijd te maken, en wanneer u problemen ondervindt het beheren van uw gevoeligheden, kunt u in de verleiding om thuis te blijven en gezelligheid en verblijft buiten te voorkomen. Toch Natelson zegt dat dit niet een goede strategie op de lange termijn. In plaats daarvan, nauw samen te werken met uw arts om strategieën die uw blootstelling aan bepaalde triggers te beperken zonder dat je ervan weerhoudt te genieten van de wereld om je heen te ontwikkelen.
