La fatigue de la fibromyalgie semble être un état de fatigue constant qui diminue votre énergie et votre capacité mentale. La fatigue peut être encore plus débilitante que la douleur. La fatigue écrasante rend notre corps lourd et faible. Il contribue au brouillard cérébral, augmentant la perte de mémoire et l’oubli. La fatigue peut être tout le temps ou durer des mois et des mois.

La fatigue est le deuxième symptôme le plus important de la fibromyalgie, la douleur étant la première. Combinée à une fatigue intense, la douleur est encore plus difficile à supporter. Des études ont démontré que la quantité de fatigue ressentie par une personne atteinte de fibromyalgie affecte directement la quantité de douleur qu’elle a. La fatigue a aussi un impact sur vos émotions et est liée à la dépression.

La fatigue associée à la fibromyalgie est similaire à celle du syndrome de fatigue chronique (rebaptisé «syndrome d’intolérance au stress systémique»). En fait, beaucoup de personnes qui ont la fibromyalgie peuvent également avoir CFS / SEID. La Fondation de l’arthrite estime que 50 à 70 pour cent des personnes atteintes de fibromyalgie répondent également aux critères du syndrome de fatigue chronique.

Anxiété ou dépression: L’anxiété et la dépression peuvent causer de la fatigue et vous laisser épuisé. Les personnes souffrant de dépression sont 4 fois plus susceptibles de souffrir de fatigue. Les personnes qui souffrent de fatigue sont trois fois plus susceptibles de devenir déprimées. Les personnes atteintes de fibromyalgie sont sujettes à l’anxiété et / ou à la dépression. Tout devient un cercle vicieux qui peut être difficile à briser.

Mauvaise nutrition: Les experts disent que la mauvaise nutrition est un gros coupable quand il s’agit de la fatigue en général. Nous savons qu’il existe plusieurs déficiences nutritionnelles liées à la fibromyalgie, il est donc important d’avoir une alimentation saine et d’obtenir les bons nutriments.

Médicaments: De nombreux médicaments sur ordonnance et sans ordonnance peuvent causer de la fatigue et de la fatigue. Quelques exemples sont des médicaments anti-anxiété, des antidépresseurs, des médicaments contre l’hypertension et des statines pour un taux élevé de cholestérol. Plus vous prenez de médicaments, plus vous risquez de vous sentir fatigué.

Façons de combattre la fatigue de la fibromyalgie

La fatigue de la fibromyalgie n’est pas si facile à traiter. Les bons jours, la fatigue peut être tolérable. Cependant, les mauvais jours, les activités communes semblent pratiquement impossibles.

Voici quelques conseils qui peuvent vous aider à faire face à la fatigue:

Utilisez votre énergie à bon escient: faites des pauses et surveillez votre rythme. Même si vous passez une bonne journée, n’essayez pas d’en faire trop, cela ne provoquera qu’un revers. Alors gardez votre calendrier simple, connaissez ses limites et reposez-vous quand vous en avez besoin. 
Exercice: Je sais que l’idée d’exercice peut être accablante, mais le manque d’exercice peut rendre vos muscles plus forts et plus douloureux, ce qui vous aide également à vous sentir fatigué. Commencez lentement et choisissez une heure de la journée qui vous convient le mieux.

Mangez bien: Manger un régime nutritif est bon pour votre bien-être général. Évitez les aliments sucrés, frits et transformés qui peuvent vous embourber. La cuisine peut me rendre épuisé. Les jours où j’ai plus d’énergie, je prépare des repas ou du moins je fais partie du travail de préparation pour faciliter.

Réduire le stress: La fibromyalgie peut être stressante et le stress peut vous rendre plus fatigué. Si vous apprenez à contrôler votre stress, vous aurez plus d’énergie. La respiration profonde, la méditation, le yoga et l’écoute de la musique sont des techniques de gestion du stress qui m’aident.

Prioriser le sommeil: Les troubles du sommeil sont fréquents dans la fibromyalgie. Le manque de sommeil de qualité peut causer de la fatigue et aggraver les symptômes de la fibromyalgie. Certains experts croient que le sommeil désordonné est le symptôme le plus important à traiter lorsque vous souffrez de fibromyalgie. Je sais que quand je dors, je me sens mieux. Quand je ne peux pas dormir, je me sens mal à tous points de vue.

Parlez à votre médecin: Si vos médicaments vous rendent encore plus fatigué, parlez-en à votre médecin. Il peut vous prescrire une alternative, réduire votre dose ou essayer de prendre votre médicament à un autre moment de la journée.

Suppléments énergétiques: Quatre suppléments qui aident le corps à produire plus d’énergie sont la coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), le D-ribose, le magnésium et la vitamine B.
