7 reglas para vivir con fibromialgia

La fibromialgia (FMS), no se trata sólo dedolor crónico y fatiga, aunque si que habló con la mayoría de los médicos generales, se podría pensar esos eran los únicos síntomas recibe la gente. FMS es una condición compleja, mutifactoral y es una condición de exclusión. En otras palabras, muchas, muchas condiciones tienen que ser excluidos antes de que un diagnóstico puede ser hecho. Se puede, y en mi caso ha, afectado a casi todos los sistemas de mi cuerpo de mi piel y el tracto gastrointestinal de las articulaciones y los músculos y sin olvidar mi cerebro. Ha tenido un efecto catastrófico en mi carrera, que me encantó. Se ha devastado la vida social y la vida familiar nunca será igual otra vez.

Todo esto puede sonar derrotista pero lo mejor que he hecho es aceptar y adaptarse a los cambios en mi vida. Con esto en mente, he llegado con una lista de reglas para mí mismo. No he sólo les compuso a partir de la nada, que han evolucionado orgánicamente en realidad sólo en los últimos años.

1. Comprender su familia y amigos perspectiva.

Viviendo con FMS es complicado, ya que es una condición tan compleja. Además de vivir con esta condición, he investigado mucho! Es difícil de entender, es difícil de explicar y que es difícil de describir.

Hay un famoso dicho, “Si no se puede explicar a un niño de 6 años de edad, que no entiende por sí mismo.”

Si no puedo explicarlo, describirlo y mucho menos entenderlo, ¿cómo puedo esperar que otras personas? Sé paciente con las personas – que van a decir cosas que duelen, van a esperar más de ti de lo que puede lograr. Se puede pensar que son perezosos y que tendrá que seguir explicando a sí mismo, pero sobre todo, lo más probable es que sólo quieren que te mejores. Ellos no lo entienden, porque no se entiende completamente por sí mismo. Creo que la mejor forma de hacerlo es simplemente ser honesto. Diles que si no se puede hacer algo, sino también lo que puede hacer. Diles que cuando usted está teniendo un mal día o un ataque de asma, sino también cuando el día es “bueno”. Diles que sus síntomas, incluso en un buen día, pero no espere que ellos entender hasta que lo haga!

2. Haga que su nueva normalidad.

Usted tiene un enfermedad crónica , que no va a mejorar o desaparecer. Usted puede ser la suerte de tener una recesión, pero la mayoría de nosotros no lo hacen.Aprender a vivir con ella, aprender a manejarlo. Convertirse en auto-conscientes y entender sus síntomas. El usuario no puede entender completamente la condición, pero llegar a conocer los síntomas que tiene antes de un ataque de asma, por ejemplo. Sé que si me da glándulas inflamadas, fiebre y pérdida de apetito, habrá un brote en las próximas 48 horas. Lo más importante es planear su día alrededor de sus síntomas. Me tienden a tener más energía después de una ducha en la mañana. Yo por lo general necesito una siesta en la mitad del día y mi dolor está en su peor en las noches. Esta es mi patrón general, pero tengo que aceptar los cambios como vienen y nuevos síntomas que se presenten. Esto es normal para mí ahora. Todo esto es parte de vivir con una enfermedad crónica.

3. Disfrute de manera integral.

No sólo tengo fibromialgia, también tengo migrañas, dolores de cabeza en racimo y vértigo. Trato de no mantenerlos separados el uno del otro. Tratar a sí mismo como un todo y no como una lista de condiciones. Sus síntomas son parte de ti si provienen de una u otra condición.

4. Crear un nuevo estándar por sí mismo y estar orgullosos de sus logros.

Ajuste su vara de medir. Si no puede hacer algo como antes, hacer lo que puede hacer su nuevo estándar y estar orgullosos de ello. Sé que, si trataba de hacer una caminata de cinco millas con el perro, no sólo iba a ser eliminados, el perro probablemente también lo haría. Pero, si vamos a por nuestro paseo de 20 minutos en el parque y los dos nos sentimos bien, incluso en un mal día. Puede sonar trivial para algunos, sino todos los días, me siento orgulloso de mí mismo para levantarse y hacer ese paseo. No se castigue si usted ya no puede hacer las cosas que una vez acostumbrado.

Piense acerca de la teoría de auge y caída. Todos lo hacemos, sin darse cuenta o sin intención. En un buen día, que hace todo lo que puede porque no se sabe cuándo será su próxima buen día. Luego, al día siguiente, que están en el dolor y la fatiga severa, por lo que no hacer nada con el fin de recuperar y esperanza para otro buen día pronto. La teoría es, hacer menos en los días buenos y más en los días malos. La idea es llegar a ser el tiempo en lugar de centrado especial se centró. 5. Plan para la basura a suceder y aceptar que va a tener síntomas horribles.

La vida no es perfecta. A veces se puede planificar y mantener un ritmo meticulosamente, pero siempre habrá algo que altera su vida. No deje que le perturba.Mierda pasa a todos. Sólo tenemos que aceptar lo que sucede y esperar que habrá días malos y los ataques de asma, es sólo parte de tener la enfermedad. Asegúrate de que tienes una caja brote bien equipado. Esto debería ser siempre parte del plan.

6. Pedir ayuda y aceptar ayuda.

Usted no puede hacerlo solo, tiene que pedir ayuda. Esta es una de las lecciones más duras que he aprendido. Usted puede pensar que es un signo de debilidad para pedir ayuda, y que ha sido siempre más rápido y más fácil simplemente hacerlo por sí solo.Por desgracia, esto ya no puede ser el caso. Pidiendo ahora es obligatorio. Aceptar la ayuda puede ser igualmente difícil, pero es hora de que alguien más para tomar la tensión. La vida con FMS no es fácil. No es frecuente que la gente le preguntará si necesita ayuda, por lo que cuando lo hacen, sea propicio. Sus seres queridos no querrán verte luchando, van a querer ayudar, así que ellos y mostrar agradecimiento con una sonrisa y un gracias. Eso es todo lo que quieren a cambio.

7. No tenga miedo de dejar que te definen.

No me refiero a ir a la cama y dejar que se apodere de su vida. Sólo creo que no debemos tener miedo de que la gente sepa que tenemos una condición que afecta a nuestra vida. La vida es bastante difícil sin hacer más difícil al ignorar los problemas que pueden morder. Usted debe ser capaz de decir a los demás que hay cosas que puede y no puede hacer debido a los síntomas que usted.
