Si une personne n’a jamais souffert de  fibromyalgie  (“fibro”), il peut être difficile pour elle de comprendre ce que c’est vraiment pour ceux qui souffrent de la maladie.Le simple fait de dire que vous avez de la douleur ou de la fatigue n’est souvent pas suffisant pour exprimer toute la réalité des symptômes. Bien que presque tout le monde ait ressenti une douleur physique à un moment donné, elle peut se manifester dans différentes parties de leur corps, à différents degrés de gravité et sous différentes formes (opaque, forte, lancinante, etc.). La douleur ressentie par une personne atteinte de fibromyalgie est probablement très différente des douleurs quotidiennes et des blessures légères que la personne moyenne et en bonne santé connaît bien.

Parfois, l’un des moyens les plus efficaces de communiquer ce que vous ressentez consiste à utiliser des métaphores. Nous avons  demandé à notre communauté Mighty  de partager certaines des métaphores utilisées pour décrire les symptômes de leur fibromyalgie. Les descriptions suivantes peuvent aider les autres à mieux comprendre l’expérience quotidienne des personnes atteintes de fibro.

Voici ce que la communauté a partagé avec nous:

1. “Je sens que je marche constamment dans la boue. Comme si mon cerveau était bloqué. Mes membres sont lourds et chaque petite action demande un effort considérable. Mes muscles sont fatigués et tremblants. C’est comme si on poussait tout le temps dans un marais. “

2. “C’est comme avoir la grippe tout le temps, combiné avec le sentiment que quelqu’un vous frappe physiquement. On s’attend à ce que tout le temps fonctionne normalement. “

3. “Le brouillard cérébral est comme les épisodes de Charlie Brown quand les adultes parlent. Tout ce que vous entendez, c’est le mégaphone éteint lorsque les gens parlent. Cela mélange tout et n’a pas de sens dans votre cerveau. Lorsque vous parlez aux gens au téléphone, vous ne pouvez pas penser aux mots justes, vous pouvez confondre vos phrases et vous n’avez aucun sens. Les gens vous regardent et vous savez qu’ils n’ont aucune idée de ce dont vous parlez. “

4. “C’est comme si toutes les parties de votre corps étaient meurtries mais que [les ecchymoses] étaient invisibles, et parfois vous souhaiteriez qu’elles soient visibles car elles pourraient alors prendre votre douleur au sérieux.”

5. “Je me demande toujours si quelqu’un a l’étiquette de ce camion qui continue à vous frapper encore et encore. Chaque jour.”

6. “Tu es un cerf-volant jeté par des forces invisibles qui s’éloignent de la réalité sur une corde qui peut être cassée à tout moment.”

7. “Mes muscles sont si faibles qu’ils ont l’impression que j’essaie de marcher avec ma taille dans du goudron avec plusieurs blocs de ciment attachés à mes jambes et à mes bras.”

8. “Restez éveillé pendant trois jours, puis remplissez vos bottes de pluie avec du verre brisé. Pendant que vous portez vos bottes de pluie en verre brisées, courez tout en vous faisant tirer dessus par des balles de peinture. “

9. “C’est comme si quelqu’un avait une poupée vaudou qu’il ne pouvait tout simplement pas laisser seul.”

10. “Imaginez que votre iPhone est cassé. Chaque fois que vous le rechargez, la batterie est complètement chargée, mais en réalité, elle est toujours à 30%. Votre téléphone dispose de nombreuses fonctions, chacune nécessitant une puissance différente. C’est à vous de choisir comment utiliser votre batterie. Si vous vous limitez à de petites activités telles que l’envoi de messages texte, votre batterie durera plus longtemps. Si vous regardez une vidéo ou jouez à un jeu, cela s’épuise plus rapidement. Si vous manquez de batterie, votre téléphone s’éteindra complètement et le chargement durera plus longtemps. Fibro c’est pareil. Votre corps a un apport d’énergie très limité. Vous devez bien réfléchir à ce que vous faites tous les jours pour ne pas être à court de batterie et éteindre. “

11. “[[  La fibromyalgie,  c’est] comme porter un tablier de plomb après avoir tiré toute la nuit quelques jours après avoir été mis dans le dos.”

12. “C’est comme si mon squelette est deux tailles trop grandes pour le reste de moi, et chaque os s’est tordu à sa place.”

13. “C’est le sentiment que vous avez lorsque vous vous entraînez trop au gymnase, mais c’est tout le temps et tout ce que vous avez à faire est de bouger pour l’obtenir.”

14. “Imaginez la pire douleur que vous ayez ressentie. Maintenant, faites-le 10 fois plus intense et dans tout votre corps. Maintenant, imaginez que le sentiment ne disparaisse jamais car il n’ya pas de remède. “

15. “[C’est] comme si un éléphant était assis sur vous, vous avez l’impression de passer toute la journée à essayer de le pousser. C’est épuisant et ça ne marche pas! “

16. “C’est comme un bateau ancré et tout ce que je peux sentir, c’est le poids de l’ancre. En même temps, je me sens gravement brûlé, coups de couteau, décharges électriques et comme si j’avais été heurté et couru par un bus corps “

17. “C’est comme si tu étais toujours aux vacances de printemps: tu es fatigué, tu as la gueule de bois, tu n’as pas assez bu, ton corps fait mal partout et tu as des nausées tout le temps; et vous continuez à vieillir et moins en mesure de traiter les symptômes. “

18. “C’est comme être dans un manège. Il tourne en rond, étourdi, souffrant de tenir le cheval pendant si longtemps, son ventre se crispant douloureusement. Le mal de tête  arrive et vous ne pouvez pas vous rappeler le mot pour vous arrêter!

19. “C’est comme si vous portiez tout le temps un tablier aux rayons X alors que vous avez la grippe et un coup de soleil partout. De temps en temps, quelqu’un vient et vous verse de l’eau chaude ou vous frappe avec des épingles. Il est fatigué tout le temps, mais quand il s’endort, il ne peut pas se sentir à l’aise et ne dort pas bien (ou pendant longtemps). Et ceci est répété chaque jour comme le «jour de la marmotte». “

20. “C’est comme si je surfais encore et encore sur les montagnes russes sans avoir à chevaucher les meilleurs, les plus terrifiants, les plus fous, les rebondissements.”

21. “Avoir la fibromyalgie est comme une poutre d’équilibre. Si vous avez trop de repos pour votre main gauche, vous tomberez par manque d’activité. Si vous avez trop d’activité dans votre main droite, il tombera de l’autre côté. Vous devez trouver l’équilibre ou vous allez tomber, et il est très difficile de remonter “.

22. “C’est comme si je me levais tous les jours avec la grippe, mais cela ne suivait jamais son cours. Et vous devez vivre avec cela pour toujours et prétendre que ce n’est pas là. “

    kinda boring. You should look at Yahoo’s home page and note how they create post headlines to grab people to open the links.
    You might add a video or a related picture or two
    to get people interested about everything’ve got to say.
    In my opinion, it would make your posts a little livelier.
