Make a decoction with 2 teaspoons dried echinacea per cup of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Drink 1 cup, three times a day. Or take a teaspoon of tincture three times a day.
( Astragalus membranaceus ). The Chinese have been using the astragalus, which they refer to as huang qi , for more than 2,000 years.
“Huang qi” means “strengthening vital force.” In addition to strengthening the force of life, the talus is an excellent cleanser of the lymphatic system. Along with echinacea, it relieves congestion and inflammation in the body.
Astragalus is available mainly as a tincture, or in the form of a capsule or tablet. Because the potency can vary a lot with this herb, it is best to follow the package instructions for the optimal dosage.
( Galium aparine ). Known primarily as a cleanser of the blood and urinary tract, blades also improves the function of the lymphatic system and decreases congestion and inflammation in the tissues.
This herb improves the ability of the lymphatic system to treat toxins and combines well with phytoplank (see below).
For the knife tea, use 2 to 3 teaspoons of the dried herb (stems and small leaves) per cup of water. Drink a cup three times a day. As an alternative, use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of tincture three times a day. Avoid the use of blades if you suffer from diabetes or have diabetic tendencies.
( Hydrastis canadensis ). In addition to having anti-inflammatory properties, the golden seal stimulates lymphatic cleansing. Use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of dried herb per infusion cup. Drink 3 cups a day or take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of tincture three times a day.
( Phytolacca americana ). Phytolac is a useful herb to improve the flow of lymph. It works well for adenitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, inflammation of the glands, mumps, mastitis.
Take a teaspoon 1/3 of the dried root per cup of water and simmer on the stove for 15 minutes to make a decoction. Another option is to take a teaspoon 1/8 to 1/4 of the tincture, three times a day. Do not increase the dose – the herb has powerful laxative effects that can be harmful in large doses.
Caution: Phytolaccus can be toxic. The herb should be used only under the supervision of a qualified expert in the proper use of this herb. Phytolac should not be used by pregnant and lactating women, or in people with lymphocytic leukemia or gastrointestinal irritation.
Wild Indigo Root
( Baptisia tinctoria ). The Wild Indigo, helps to destroy harmful microbes in the body and cleans the lymphatic system, improves lymph flow and reduces swelling of the lymph glands.
To obtain a powerful herbal cleansing product, combine indigo root with blades and phytolac. It can be taken as a decoction with 1/3 teaspoon of dried root per cup of water.
Cook over low heat 15 minutes and drink a cup three times a day. Or take 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of tincture three times a day. Do not use wild indigo if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Exercise is vital

- Place your fingers on your neck just behind your ears, with one hand on either side of your neck.
- Push the skin of your neck down firmly, working with your fingers down your neck and away from your ears. Take 10 massages to work from your ears down.
- Place your hands on the inside of your shoulders along the clavicle, with one hand on either side of your neck.
- Push the skin along the top of your shoulders into the inside of your collarbone, massaging inwards five times.

Note: Women who are pregnant or breast-feeding should not cleanse the lymph nodes, or people with diabetes or other chronic health problems, except under the supervision of a qualified health professional.
