Climat et fibromyalgie: comment régler le thermostat interne?

Les personnes atteintes de fibromyalgie ont l’habitude de dire qu’un certain type de climat ou des changements de température aggravent leurs symptômes, beaucoup se plaignant d’avoir froid tout le temps, ou de chauffer tout le temps ou en alternance.

Et il est vrai, plusieurs études le confirment: ce symptôme est appelé sensibilité à la température.

Les experts expliquent que, chez les patients atteints de fibromyalgie, le thermostat interne est cassé, une “dérégulation” qui rend les patients plus sensibles à certaines conditions. L’humidité peut également augmenter la douleur dans les articulations, ce qui affecte l’état général de la patient.Il est important d’ajuster les vêtements et le chauffage afin d’empêcher ces images, mais aussi de les prendre en compte lors de la planification des vacances et de se sentir bien, devenant ainsi la clé de la personne et de sa famille. Le froid n’est guère un bon allié.

Recommandations pour les journées chaudes:

Consommez des boissons et des aliments froids 
Utilisez un parapluie pour vous protéger 
Utilisez une visière au lieu d’un chapeau 
Portez des vêtements amples et légers en tissu respirant 
Évitez les douches et les bains chauds 
Rincez-vous à l’eau froide avant de sortir et avant de vous coucher 
Allumez la voiture et la climatisation un peu avant de partir, suffisamment pour refroidir la voiture. 
Si vous utilisez un ventilateur ou une climatisation, évitez de souffler directement vers vous. Les personnes sensibles au froid se sentent gelées jusqu’aux os et ont du mal à se réchauffer

Recommandations pour les journées froides

Il est important de garder à l’esprit que, chez les personnes atteintes de fibromyalgie, le corps n’est pas en mesure de s’adapter correctement, de sorte que les pieds restent froids et que même le port de chaussettes épaisses n’aide pas à réchauffer les pieds; par conséquent, l’environnement a un impact plus important sur le corps.

Voici quelques idées pour empêcher cela:

Garder les pieds couverts par temps froid 
Habillez-vous chaudement (toutefois, s’habiller trop peut déclencher des symptômes de sensibilité à la chaleur) 
Boire des boissons chaudes Consommer des 
aliments chauds comme une soupe et des flocons d’avoine 
Réchauffer la voiture avant de quitter la maison 
Garder l’environnement au chaud et agréable 
Avoir des choses comme des couvertures et des chaussures d’échauffement à la main
