ATTENTION! Cessez de faire ces 16 choses si vous avez la fibromyalgie

Cette histoire est basée sur un article que j’ai lu intitulé «30 choses à cesser de faire pour vous.» Comme je l’ai lu, je ne pouvais pas m’empêcher de penser à quel point elles sont vraies et certaines sont particulièrement appropriées pour celles de nous souffrant de fibromyalgie, syndrome de fatigue chronique et d’autres conditions débilitantes.

Voici 16 choses que je crois que ceux d’entre nous avec la fibromyalgie doivent cesser de faire:

1. Arrêtez de mettre vos propres besoins sur le brûleur arrière. 

Si vous souffrez d’une maladie débilitante chronique, vous devez d’abord faire valoir vos propres besoins. Même si vous êtes la personne la plus en santé sur la planète, vous ne devriez pas laisser vos besoins aller au bout de la ligne. Comme la fibromyalgie est la plus fréquente chez les femmes, c’est particulièrement vrai car les femmes semblent dire que leurs besoins devraient venir après leur mari, leurs enfants, leur église, leur travail, leurs efforts de bénévolat et tout ce qui pourrait leur arriver. Il est étonnant que nous nous donnions du temps; malheureusement, trop d’entre nous ne le font pas.

2. Arrêtez de passer du temps avec les mauvaises personnes.

Si quelqu’un ajoute du stress à votre vie, ce stress vous rend malade. Enlevez le stress en enlevant cette personne. Vous n’êtes peut-être pas en mesure de les supprimer complètement, mais vous pouvez choisir de les éviter lorsque cela est possible.

3. Arrêtez de garder les rancunes.

Tenir une rancune est un stress inutile. Cela nous amène à créer des pensées négatives sur une personne et à nous concentrer uniquement sur ces pensées négatives alors que nous devrions essayer de trouver des façons de nous concentrer sur des choses plus positives. Lâchez la rancune. Vous penserez toujours à la personne à l’occasion, mais quand vous le faites, éloignez-le et remplacez-le par une pensée de quelqu’un qui vous intéresse et qui vous fait sourire.

4. Arrêtez d’essayer d’être tout pour tout le monde.

La capacité de dire non est fortement sous-estimée. Trop souvent ceux d’entre nous avec la fibromyalgie sont incapables de dire non, se sentir coupable quand on ne peut pas ou ne veut pas dire oui. Nous ne pouvons pas être tout pour tout le monde – nous ne pouvons même pas être tout pour nous, et nous ne devons pas être.

5. Arrêtez de vous mentir.

Vous ne vous sentez pas bien et quelqu’un vous demande comment vous êtes. Vous répondez par «Je vais bien», mais ce n’est pas la vérité. Ce n’est pas la vérité quand vous le leur dites, et ce n’est certainement pas la vérité quand vous vous le dites.

6. Arrêtez de perdre votre temps à vous expliquer aux autres.

Si vous ne pouvez pas faire quelque chose, restez simple  –  dites simplement non et continuez. N’essayez pas d’expliquer pourquoi vous ne pouvez pas le faire parce qu’ils pourraient ne pas écouter de toute façon.

7. Cessez d’essayer de vous tenir au passé.

Bien que vous puissiez trouver des moyens d’améliorer vos symptômes, vous ne serez probablement plus jamais à 100%. Il y aura toujours des limites. Arrêtez d’essayer de retrouver les niveaux de vie que vous aviez avant votre maladie et réalisez que c’était alors et c’est maintenant. Concentrez-vous sur ce que vous  pouvez  faire au lieu de ce que vous étiez en mesure de faire.

8. Arrête de te réprimander pour de vieilles erreurs.

La culpabilité et la culpabilité sont nos amis constants. Cessez de vous battre contre des choses que vous avez faites dans le passé (ou des choses que vous auriez aimé faire mais que vous n’avez pas faites). C’est dans le passé, laissez-le aller et passer à autre chose. Encore une fois, concentrez-vous sur ce que vous pouvez faire dans le futur.

9. Cessez d’être jaloux des autres.

C’est tellement facile d’être jaloux de ce que les autres ont ou de ce que les autres peuvent faire. Nous ne réalisons pas qu’ils ont aussi des limites. Personne ne voit la vraie vie d’un autre, ses capacités ou ses handicaps et ses limites. Ne jugez pas votre vie basée sur le “Jones”, réel ou imaginaire. Concentrez-vous sur ce que vous avez de merveilleux.

10. Arrêtez de vous plaindre et de vous sentir désolé pour vous.

C’est bien de lancer une fête de pitié de temps en temps, mais je crois que ça ne devrait jamais durer plus de cinq minutes, et vous ne devriez jamais inviter des amis. Concentrez-vous sur les aspects positifs de la vie – ils sont nombreux.

11. Arrêtez de négliger la beauté des petits moments.

Combien de fois avons-nous entendu que nous devrions arrêter et sentir les roses? Vous n’appréciez pas vraiment ces petites choses jusqu’à ce que vous ne puissiez plus les faire. Alors, prenez quelques instants chaque jour et pensez vraiment aux petites choses que vous avez pu apprécier. Ecrivez-les afin que vous puissiez les regarder plus tard quand vous envisagez cette fête de pitié.

12. Arrêtez d’essayer de rendre les choses parfaites.

Ils sont déjà. OK, peut-être qu’ils ne sont pas parfaits, et peut-être qu’ils peuvent même être meilleurs qu’ils ne le sont maintenant. Mais le fait est que vous devez vous concentrer sur la réalité plutôt que sur la perfection. Prenez de petites mesures pour améliorer les choses et vous rapprocher de l’idée de ce que vous voulez que votre vie soit, sans vous soucier constamment de la distance que vous êtes encore loin de la perfection.

13. Arrête d’agir comme si tout allait bien si ce n’est pas le cas.

Si tout n’est  pas  OK, c’est correct de dire la vérité. Quand un vrai ami ou quelqu’un qui se soucie vraiment de vous demande comment vous êtes, soyez honnête. Arrêtez de répondre avec “Je vais bien” si vous ne l’êtes pas.

14. Arrêtez de vous inquiéter tellement.

Vous avez l’impression que la vie est hors de contrôle, et peut-être que c’est le cas. Alors ne t’en fais pas pour ça. Laissez la vie être ce que ça va être. Contrôlez les choses que vous pouvez contrôler et laissez le reste aller. Un souci constant ne fera que vous faire vous sentir plus mal.

15. Cessez de vous concentrer sur ce que vous ne voulez pas que ce soit.

Vous ne voulez pas vous réveiller demain dans une fusée éclairante, alors c’est tout ce que vous pensez et vous finissez par vous empêcher de dormir, ce qui entraîne le réveil dans une fusée éclairante. Semble familier? Eh bien, arrête ça. Au lieu de penser « Je ne veux pas … » pense « Je veux …. » Focus sur la bonne nuit de repos , vous savez que vous  allez  obtenir et à quel point vous vous sentirez demain parce que vous avez fait les bons choix sur les choses qui  sont  dans votre contrôle .

16. Cessez d’être ingrat.

Soyez reconnaissant chaque minute de chaque jour. Il y a quelque chose de merveilleux à être reconnaissant. Dites “merci” pour les petites choses et dites-le. Au lieu de vous fâcher que quelqu’un fasse quelque chose que vous aviez l’intention de faire parce que vous vous sentiez «inutile» ou comme si vous pensiez ne pas faire votre part, soyez reconnaissant de vous avoir libéré pour faire autre chose que vous vouliez faire.
